Sandcreek Parkway cleanup is set for June 27. We will make a decision on post cleanup lunch.
Steve reported on the Everleigh organizing meeting: Only 3 residents attended but Callie, Laura, Tracy & Steve, joined by Skip Arms, had a productive discussion with them. The three said that there are many other residents interested in service projects and a companion club could provide that. Laura is staying in touch with them via email. First step could be inviting residents to our next project.
Bill reports that the greenhouse project is officially closed and the club is returning monies to the district and the Smoky Hill club.
The induction dinner is on Tuesday, June 16th at Lance and Lucy’s. Laura has emailed an invite on Sign Up Genius. If you haven't already please complete it soon.

Matt Suprunowicz
Matt is the executive director of SustainEd. He has helped us trying to locate a partner site for our greenhouse project. He joined us today to talk about the mission of SustainEd.
Matt explained that many DPS children have poor access to food and most children have poor food knowledge: not knowing how the food they eat is grown. SustainEd Farms was founded on the principle of providing locally grown food to schools and communities in need. With the mission of contributing to a sustainable food system in the greater Denver area, Matt incorporated pilot programming for a year and a half before setting up school partnerships. To this day, SustainEd Farms brings their vision to life by empowering students and providing education on where real food comes from. Today SustainED serves 65 schools, over 6000 students, and produces 5000 pounds of food. The receive 50/50 DPS funding for their Title I schools. Learn more, click the link above.
