Callie introduced Dan Jahn (Yawn), leadership coach, author and speaker. His career started and an aid in the Reagan White House. His experiences there and in his subsequent jobs, ventures, and travels inspired him to teach leadership skills to others. He believes in "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Impact". He gave examples of leadership throughout time and history, including Churchill, Lincoln, Mandela, Ghengis Kahn, Elizabeth I, Rev. King. His more modern examples are Steve Jobs, Angela Merkel, and John Sculley. Each exhibited different leadership traits from which today's leaders can learn. Dan has written several books, his most recent is Leading With Impact, detailing what he presented to us today. For more information visit danjahn.com.

Greg called our meeting to order.
Bill reviewed Return on Rotary with us. This Rotary year through March we have contributed $12,440 and given 162.75 in volunteer hours. We approved donating an addition gift to the Food Bank of the Rockies for a total of $500 this year.
Membership dues statements are out, so please make your payment. Also, if you're inclined, make a donation to the Rotary Foundation today either by check to Bill or go to the RI website and pay online.
Laura and Reno recapped our CPBA event last week. We had 25 to 30 attend, and we captured 24 prospect names. We raised $60 in the gift basket raffle -- thanks to Nick and Otis for the signage. Everyone agreed that there was good interaction but background noise and music made addressing the group difficult. There was some discussion about getting a small PA system for events.
Frank, Bill and Steve are following up with attendees at the CPBA event to invite them to a future meeting.
Callie reports that the Epic Day of Service project has officially been changed to Sand Creek to perform a clean up on May 17, from 10 am until noon. Lunch will follow and Steve agreed to host it.
Callie also brought us up to date on the selection for the site of the greenhouse. Officials at The High Point Academy in Aurora, north of Green Valley Ranch, near The Gaylord, has been very receptive and the project appears to be a "go". Thanks Lance and Callie for being relentless!
