Laura presided for the last time in her very successful Rotary year!
Bill reported on Return On Rotary. In the Rotary Year through May, the club has contributed $7,438 and members have donated 468 hours!
Barbara has made contact with a representative from CU Global Health. A speaker will present soon & the club will make a $1,000 donation.
Steve reported on the status of this year's Fruit Sale. The consensus was to keep pricing the same as proposed. Price lists were distributed and every member will get one by email. Also, the web order form is up and customers are encouraged to enter orders & pay at rotaryclubofdenvernortheast.org, Fruit Fundraiser, Register... The tentative order deadline is July 11, pickup is 9am - 1pm on Saturday, July 18. Details are also on the order form.
Greg briefed us on the Sandcreek Parkway cleanup set for June 27. Please RSVP so that Steve can get a count for box lunches. Guests are welcome!
Lance is looking forward to hosting the club at Tuesday's Induction Garden Party in their backyard, starting at 6pm.
Bill reports that the grant money has been returned to the district for this year. He also advised that members will be getting quarterly dues statements via ClubRunner.
ADG Skip Arms joined us to report on District activities. He is working with the Alzheimers Action Group, which is raising $950,000. They are having their annual walk on Sep 19 and Rotary is sponsoring a tent. He also encourages members to get involved in the District. He says "it improves your Rotary perspective."
