Program - 7/7
Angie Layton, Rob Miller

Angie & Rob joined us to talk about their clean water project in Rwanda.

Rob is the CEO of Mighty Water, an organization that has developed and produced small scale filtering systems to be used in homes to make water potable in regions where water is unhealthy. He said healthy water improves health, education, economics & dignity citing examples of water improvement in Africa.
His organization has partnered with Angie and Boulder Flatirons Rotary and a Rotary club in Rwanda. In that country over 70% of the households don't have the ability to purify their water.
Mighty Water's second generation filtration  device allows a household to take non-potable water and process it to provide safe drinking water day after day.
Angie is asking district clubs to help in their effort in any amount of donation.
For more information on Mighty Water, visit the link above.

The Object of Rotary
is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
