Steve discussed the fruit sale. The consensus is that 1/2 boxes of peaches and pears should be offered this year. He is going to review pricing from 2 years ago when we sold 1/2 boxes and send those prices to members for early selling. He will also get our sales history for member review.
Lance reports that the greenhouse project at HighPoint Charter School has encountered some difficulties. He will keep us updated.
Program - 5/13
Monica Minkel, our newest member, presented her Who Am I today. Joining her was her friend and 5 Points RiNo President Frankie Reed, who she credits for introducing her to Rotary. Monica and Daniel, married for 30 years, grew up in Oklahoma and moved to Denver in 2000. She is the proud mother of Allison and Andrew. She is transitioning from her corporate role in financial services which now allows her time for family and a number of volunteer activities. Humane Colorado (a 2160+ hour volunteer!), Food Bank of the Rockies, JA, Demolay, Turtle Trax, Girl Scouts are just some of them. She enjoys "Slow Fat" Triathlons, yoga, paddle boarding, kayaking, and traveling in their camper - purchased during COVID. She and Daniel also enjoy international travel, but their favorite travels have been in support of 80's music, attending as many concerts as they can, and sailing on 80's music cruises!
Thank you Monica for letting us get to know you and your family better. Welcome to Rotary!
Respectfully submitted,
Steve Wise

The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions, the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations, and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
